Blackwell was an extremely powerful Dark Witch, with Dark Magic. the only son and child of Francis Balcoin, the husband of Jane Thomas, the father of Joseph Blackwell, the grandfather of James Blackwell, the great-grandfather of Samuel Blackwell, and the ancestor of John Blackwell, Cassie Blake, Diana Meade, and John Blackwell's four other unknown children.
E. was a member of the Blackwell Family.

- According to Isaac, the Balcoin line was erradicated but it was then revealed that the name was changed to Blackwell instead. However, it is unknown if E. Blackwell is the one that changed his name or if his father Francis Balcoin had already changed it.
