Voodoo is a polytheistic religion practiced chiefly by West Indians, deriving principally from African cult worship and containing elements borrowed from the Catholic religion.

Voodoo is a form of magic that can be practiced by both humans and witches, and can be used for both dark and light purposes. One who practices Voodoo for evil is usually associated with the "Left-Hand Path" belief systems, which value the advancement and preservation of the self and the pursuit of temporal and terrestrial goals, rather than the "Right-Hand Path", which elevates spirituality, the strict observance of moral codes and the worship of nature.

Totems[edit | edit source]

In Valentine, Lee gave Faye a totem, which he claimed would boost her power if she slept with it under her bed. He brought a similar totem, along with Faye's blood, to the bedside of his girlfriend Eva, who is in a coma.

In Return, Melissa practiced an energy sharing ritual with Callum using a similar looking totem, leading her to realize that Faye's totem might be stealing her powers rather than boosting them. When Faye confronted Lee about this, he claimed that the type of spell determines how the totem works. Later, he snaped the totem to prove that he was not trying to harm her. At the same moment, his girlfriend Eva, who had been sleeping with the other totem, woke from her coma.
