Suzan Whittier is a 16 year old witch who lives with her family in New Salem. Suzan is the only child of Mr. Whittier and Linda Whittier.
While she was initially portrayed in an antagonistic light due to her friendship with Faye, and Cassie's first impression of her was that of an airhead who adored sweets, Suzan's admirable qualities were eventually revealed: an excellent sense of humour, a genuine generosity with sharing her love of beauty with others, and a steely determination in standing by her moral principles even when confronting the temptations of supposed absolute power.
Hence, despite Faye's disapproval, Suzan became good friends with Cassie and, later on, grew more intimate with Diana. During the Circle's final confrontation with Black John, Suzan helped to banish him to oblivion by invoking the element which her powers were strongest at.
Unsurprisingly, Suzan was portrayed as Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess of Love, in Diana's art prints.

Suzan was described to be a strikingly beautiful young girl: strawberry-blond hair that was like a cloud of reddish-gold around her face, china-blue eyes, perfect skin, a tiny waist, and extremely well-developed breasts. Very much like Faye and Deborah, her magic enabled her to radiate an aura of confidence and self-possession that no girl of her age should have.
