The Secret Circle Wiki
(Redirected from John Blake (novel))
That was unworthy of you, Cassandra. And hardly any way to behave to your father. Now I'm angry with you.
— Black John to his daughter Cassie

Black John, also known by the aliases of John Blake and Jack Brunswick, was the main antagonist of The Secret Circle and the father of Cassie Blake. Originally a member of the original Circle before they settled in New Salem, Black John desired to use the power of the Master Tools and lead the most powerful Circle the country has ever seen.

His first two attempts to control the Circle resulted in his death and he returned twice, seeking to weaken the current Circle and have them submit to him. Lead by his own daughter, the Circle used their own power - as well as that of the Master Tools - to defeat him once and for all.
